Eggs – 6
Start by carefully placing cold eggs in a pot, covering them with cold water. Ensure there’s about an inch of water above the eggs.
Bring the water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cover the pot with a lid and turn off the heat. Let the eggs sit for about 12-14 minutes.
After the time has elapsed, transfer the eggs to a bowl filled with ice water to cool for at least 5 minutes.
Once cooled, gently tap the eggs on a hard surface and peel them under cool running water to make the process easier.
Slice each egg in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl. Set the egg whites aside.
Mash the yolks using a fork, then mix in mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the hollowed out egg whites.
Preheat the air fryer to 270°F (130°C). Carefully place the filled eggs in the air fryer basket and cook for about 6-8 minutes.
Once done, remove the eggs from the air fryer, garnish as desired, and serve immediately.
Using older eggs can make peeling easier, as fresh eggs tend to stick to the shell.
Feel free to customize the filling by adding ingredients like bacon bits, jalapeños, or herbs for added flavor.
Deviled eggs make an excellent appetizer for gatherings, pairs nicely with a salad, or can be a delicious snack.
