Amalfi Martini Limoncello Recipe

Description

Refreshing lemony martini shaken not stirred! Limoncello adds an Italian twist to our favorite cocktail.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz Limoncello liquor chilled
  • 2 oz Vodka
  • ½ oz Simple syrup
  • Lemon juice
  • Ice

Optional Sugar Rim

  • 1 tbsp Sugar optional
  • Fresh Lemon cut into quarters

Instructions

  • Equipment

    • Cocktail shaker
    • Martini Glasses
  •  Combine the gin, limoncello, lemon juice, and mint leaves in a cocktail shaker. Fill 2/3 with ice and shake for 30 seconds.Strain the cocktail into two martini glasses, preferably chilled.Garnish as desired with lemon peels, lemon wedges, and mint leaves.

Notes

To make Simple Syrup: Combine equal parts of water and sugar in a saucepan, bring to a boil, and stir until the sugar has dissolved.  Cool completely before using it in your cocktail.  Leftovers can be stored in a glass jar or bottle in the refrigerator.
