Description

This deliciously boozy Long Island Iced Coffee is every coffee lovers dream! It’s the perfect coffee cocktail recipe for an after-dinner drink!

Ingredients

Scale

2 oz cold brew coffee (or chilled regular coffee)

½ oz amaretto liqueur

½ oz crème de cacao

½ oz butterscotch schnapps

½ oz Bailey’s Irish Cream (any flavor – I recommend caramel)

½ oz hazelnut liqueur (like Frangelico)

Ice cubes

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker:

    • 2 oz cold brew coffee

    • ½ oz amaretto liqueur

    • ½ oz crème de cacao

    • ½ oz butterscotch schnapps

    • ½ oz Bailey’s Irish Cream

    • ½ oz hazelnut liqueur

    • A few ice cubes

  • Shake well for about 30 seconds, until the mixture is chilled and fully combined.

  • Strain into a whiskey glass (or similar) filled with fresh ice.

Notes

Customize the liqueurs:
If you don’t like or don’t have a certain liqueur, feel free to swap it! Great alternatives include Kahlua, Amarula, or RumChata for a creamy twist. For extra flavor, try Chambord (raspberry) or triple sec (orange).

Stronger variation (classic-style):
Want more kick? Replace the liqueurs with ½ oz each of Bailey’s Irish Cream, Kahlua (or another coffee liqueur), white or dark rum, vodka, and tequila. Don’t like one of those? Swap with gin or brandy. For a lighter version, add a splash of half and half or coffee creamer to soften the alcohol.

No measuring tools?
No problem! ½ fluid ounce equals 1 tablespoon. Use what you have on hand.

No cocktail shaker?
A mason jar or any jar with a lid works perfectly. You can also mix everything directly in a glass with ice, but the Bailey’s may separate more easily this way—shaking is best for a smooth blend.

Great for parties:
Multiply the recipe and mix everything (except the ice) in a pitcher. Store in the fridge for up to 48 hours. Just shake or stir before serving over ice.

Glassware options:
I love serving this in 11 oz whiskey glasses, but feel free to use highball, pint, Collins, or any clear glass you have. It’s all about enjoying the experience!
