Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup brewed espresso, cooled
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package ladyfinger cookies
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • Cocoa powder, for dusting

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Strawberries

In a bowl, mix sliced strawberries with sugar. Allow them to macerate for about 30 minutes.

Step 2: Whip the Cream

In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form. Set aside.

Step 3: Mix the Mascarpone

In another bowl, combine mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

Step 4: Fold in the Whipped Cream

Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.

Step 5: Prepare the Ladyfingers

Briefly dip each ladyfinger into coffee, ensuring they are coated but not soggy.

Step 6: Layer the Ingredients

In a serving dish, layer half of the coffee-soaked ladyfingers, followed by half of the mascarpone mixture, and then half of the macerated strawberries.

Step 7: Repeat the Layers

Add another layer of ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and strawberries.

Step 8: Chill the Tiramisu

Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.

Step 9: Serve and Enjoy

Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and garnish with additional strawberries if desired.

Notes

Note 1: Choosing Strawberries

Select ripe, sweet strawberries for the best flavor. You can also substitute with other berries if desired.

Note 2: Coffee Options

Use your favorite coffee blend for dipping ladyfingers; espresso gives the best flavor, but brewed coffee works too.

Note 3: Make Ahead

This dessert is perfect for making ahead. It tastes better after resting in the fridge as the flavors meld together.
